City Series 1

Saturday, February 13th, 2010

I have just finished and made available on etsy my City Series of framed laser-cuts ready to buy. I hope you like them!

City Series no.1 – London

The iconic phrase totally synonymous with the fabulous city of London -

‘MIND THE GAP’!

This, the first piece in my new City Series, incorporates many of the most famous landmarks. Big Ben and The Eye, a black cab and other unmistakable motifs that can mean only one place – London.

City Series no.2 – NYC

Anyone who has ever visited NYC will know that ‘Bright Lights, Big City’ is a wonderful description of this, perhaps the most famous city in all the world.

The second piece in my City Series features the Empire State Building, a mini map (for you cartographers!) and one or two other evocative motifs for you to spot.

City Series no.3 – Paris

Ooh la la. “Qu’ils Mangent de la Brioche!” orĀ as most of us would say “Let Them Eat Cake!” This famous phrase from the 18th century brings to mind the fabulous and fashionable city that is Paris.

The Eiffel Tower and The Arc de Triomphe, a high kicking can can girl and fashion mannequin are framed together in this red, white and blue artwork. Tres chic!
